Projects / Modern Sculptural Toronto Residence
A soft, sculptural modern new build designed to echo its architectural curves — and let the details speak quietly.

This modern new build in Toronto was all about restraint — and softness. The home’s architecture was already striking, with curved ceilings and elegant volumes that didn’t need competing with. So our design approach was subtle: echo the curves, refine the palette, and let the materials do the talking.
We referenced those architectural gestures throughout the interiors — in the curved powder room wall, the custom dining credenza, the rounded ceiling detail in the primary bedroom. Even the furnishings picked up on the softness, with organic forms, muted tones, and light woods that warmed the space without ever weighing it down.
This project is a great example of how minimal doesn’t mean cold. By playing with texture — smooth plaster, brushed oak, natural stone — and staying disciplined in the colour palette, we created a space that feels quiet but never flat.
For anyone wondering how to design a modern home that feels warm, thoughtful, and fully integrated with its architecture — this is how we do it.
