Projects / Minimalist Modern Toronto House

A sleek and serene family home built during COVID — warm minimalism, subtle luxury, and softness throughout.

This minimalist new build was designed — and executed — entirely during COVID. The architect was based in the U.S. and couldn’t travel, which meant we stepped in to fine-tune everything from flow to material execution. Every inch mattered. Every choice had to serve both aesthetics and real family life.

Our clients wanted a modern home, but it had to feel comfortable — not cold. So we leaned into contrast: crisp black accents against soft natural tones, clean lines beside touchable textures, a fully custom layout paired with unfussy furniture. The result feels streamlined, but never stark.

Drapery, wood, and layered textiles add subtle warmth and dimension. It’s livable modernism — with just enough soul.

If you’re renovating or building a modern home in Toronto and want something that balances sleek design with softness and practicality, this is a blueprint worth borrowing from.
