Connect With MHouse: Interior Design Studio Toronto

Let’s bring your vision to life—with layered, livable design that’s grounded in real life.

MHouse Inc. is a Toronto-based interior design studio led by Shirley Meisels—known for timeless interiors, bold yet livable spaces, and a collaborative process that transforms how people live in their homes. We specialize in high-end residential design, including renovations, new builds, and thoughtful redesigns of all sizes across Canada and the U.S.

Whether you’re transforming a single floor or gearing up for a full-home project, we tailor our process to suit your scope—offering the same rigor, creativity, and attention to detail every step of the way.

We take on a limited number of residential projects per year to ensure our work remains hands-on and deeply personalized. When you reach out, we want to learn more than just your square footage. We want to understand your priorities, your lifestyle, and the feeling you want your home to evoke.

Tell us a bit about your project below. The more context you can share, the better. Once we review your submission, we’ll be in touch to schedule a discovery call.

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of interior design projects do you take on?

We specialize in custom residential interiors, including complete home renovations, new builds, and thoughtfully executed single-floor transformations. While we don’t typically take on standalone rooms like a single bathroom, we do consider multi-room projects where the design impact is significant and cohesive.

Do you collaborate with architects, contractors and builders?

Yes. We work alongside architects, builders, and trades to ensure design intent is carried through from concept to construction.

What areas do you serve?

MHouse is based in Toronto, but we work with clients across the GTA, Canada and select out-of-town locations depending on project scope and timing.

How early should I bring a designer into my renovation or new build?

Ideally, as early as possible. We often collaborate with architects and builders during the planning stages to help shape flow, functionality, and finishes. Bringing us in from the start avoids costly changes and missed opportunities.

Do you offer virtual consultations or remote project management?

Yes. MHouse is Toronto-based, but we work with clients across Canada and the US. For the right project, we can manage remotely through a mix of digital collaboration tools and on-site partners.

What’s the typical timeline for a full-scope interior design project?

Every project is different, but full-home renovations or new builds typically run from 12 months to 24 months depending on scope, permitting, and construction. We’ll discuss timelines with you based on your project specifics.

Do you offer design-only services if we already have a contractor or architect?

Absolutely. We often join existing teams as the design lead—bringing cohesion to the layout, finishes, furnishings, and styling while working alongside your builder or architect.

Can I book Shirley just for a consult or design review?

For smaller, targeted questions, Shirley offers limited 1:1 consultations via WHouse. These are great for newer designers or homeowners seeking guidance on layout, materials, or avoiding common mistakes.
